Hey folks, we're looking to share a spider diagram about how XP distribution has shifted as part of this update. We'll likely share that in a thread tomorrow that should cover general reactions to todays update and discussions.

However, to answer the initial question - The Fort XP for AFK Fort training was shifted to be weighted more in favour of Active Fort Training (so Active Fort training has been buffed).

We'll look to share a more exact visual of this soon.


Eternal planks should be 1k xp per minimum to be worth using. Fort could be doubled for baseline and active and still doesn't justify 120 skill.

Fix plank making, fix construction contracts impossible to see hotspots.

These are not 120 skill training methods.
'm curious if it was taken into consideration that fort training requires a lot of processing to earn that afk time? Like I know mains can just buy as many frames as they want, but actually making them is a long and tedious process that takes a lot of time and resources (which is what makes the frames expensive to buy for mains).

Manually turning logs into planks or waiting weeks for the invention machine to process them, then making them into refined planks, then finally into frames plus all the limestone bricks, it's so much prep time that I disagree that we should be encouraged to play actively to get the most out of that investment. It was an insane amount of logs to train to 120 with fort even before the update, so it's kind of a bummer that after collecting them all and processing them all, we don't get rewarded with afk time for the effort. Noticed that contract xp was also buffed somewhat,

The economy is literally so bad in RS3 that in a way ironman is genuinely easier. Like, the RS3 economy is BAAAAD. People never mention how bad it really is. Most shit simply does not buy or sell anymore due to the low playerbase. It's a legitimate issue and at some point iron genuinely becomes the more sensible option.

But if you want to play boring main, be my guest. I just do not find it fun.

you can also buy the platinum anklet thing off the grand exchange which i recommend doing right now. it cuts your run drain in half. yes you heard that right. HALF.

Not going to for a while, I can still only catch 1 dino at the moment. I want to passively unlock the ability to get raw mantas and sailfish and also get shadow's grace. I also have no Hunter Lodge upgrades at all, I only have 15 workers but hopefully in ~2 days I'll have 30.
Now that my goal is reached, I'm moving on to step two, which is working towards Arch relics like Sticky Fingers, Shadow's Grace, Hungry Like the Wolf, maybe a few more that aren't super far away. I believe 86 Arch is the common stopping point to unlock the Gate?
On the side I'll also want to train my Agi to 56, get 75 mage/range so I can use my vanquish, and just generally progress the account.
