So... apparently the crab sigil, other than everything it gives, including a 5% supp DMG, is also an attack buff and not a stat increase. This means that the 20% attack buff it gives is a +10% beyond the cap permanent through the whole quest.
I will stay with sieg's counter style. Keeping my stacks forever and only losing one if I die is much better than cutscenes fucking me over and losing the perfect striker stacks and having to start over.

Although the maglielle in this case wasn't even using the crux shield tree, she weas using the essence weapon spam tree.

Def reduces a lot more damage than you'd expect, and there are a lot of super long dodge sequences where you perfect dodge one part then eat shit sometime a bit later which the def boost would help a lot in
