The real issue is actually ascensions. They take too long and are too rng and are the actual roadblock when building a new character. For your average gacha player, potentials are esoteric because most of the time you don't actually know how it will actually affect damage until you test the record later. They've kind of streamlined it, but I think reducing RNG would be better or at least giving us ways to mod records after the fact.

Open Letter to the Stella Sora Dev TeamGood evening, Yostar Dev Team. I'm here tonight to relay some of the issues with the current state of Stella Sora as a game and my suggestions on how to improve it. Obviously these are suggestions more than anything, but I would be more than happy to see the game improve in any given way, shape or form.Game FeelingThe game right now feels incredibly shallow. 3 week patches (and sometimes 4 weeks, even) feel like an eternity, especially when there's not much to do in-between patches. New characters aren't "gamebreaking" enough to warrant people going into Ascension, making new builds with them and testing their full potential. People hardly remember there's a "Battle Blitz" ongoing season, since there's no notification of it anywhere, unlike Raids, Events, Mini-games and such.Lack of ContentAs mentioned in the aforementioned point, there isn't a whole lot of anything going on. I don't understand why we don't have Raids every patch, that'd motivate more people to roll for the current rate-up unit. "Mini-games" only appear for one week at a time and these are mostly done by day 2 of the patch, so we're back to square one after the fact, and "gatekeeping" mini-game stages does not help this ongoing issue either. On top of that, mini-games aren't something you can use your newly acquired unit on, so it feels like there's no purpose in rolling for that unit at the time. Cataclysm is stupidly easy to clear, which is fine, but with the addition of "penguin cards" and such, it feels like this is should be the "Main Mode" of the game, where it goes "Infinite" like any Vampire Survivors clone would, so players would get to test their units to the limit while feeling a sense of accomplishment.

In many other gachas, people just roll for their character, equip whatever equipment that character needs and directly jump into the action, which is not something you can do in Stella Sora, and this hurts the potential of this game more than anything else. To top all of this off, having only one "x2" event being limited to one week only after 9 months of your game being online was an extremely bad decision. What took you guys so long? Why isn't this an everyday thing? Spending "X" amount of stamina and only getting half of that amount on "Emblem currency" is extremely frustrating. A full day of stamina (240) only amounts to 12 Single Emblem rolls, which as you could guess, gets you absolutely nothing worth of value 95% of the time. This is easily the worst part of the game by far and away.InteractivityCredit where it's due, the VN segments of the game are easily the best on the market, or among the best at the very least, which shows how much love and care was poured into it. Now, everything else regarding user/character connection? Mostly non-existent.**No custom lines for L2D lobbies**No headpats or any kind of interactivity in the main menu**No cafe/dorms to further deepen the user/character connection, on top of seeing them interact with many objects inside of said dorms.

Make it increasingly harder as time goes by (you know, like any true Vampire Survivors game clone would) and add a Ranking system to it, so people have a reason to go play it.REMOVE ASCENSION/EMBLEMS FROM THE GAME ENTIRELY. Having to go through TWO LAYERS of RNG to get to enjoy your character is something that only Satan could've come up with. Whoever through this would be something people would enjoy needs to get fired from the company ASAP.
