In Sinclair's case his process is completely chaotic, and kinda mentally ill, to the point he slowly moves away from the perfect little boy image he thought he had to maintain at the start, and even broke away from Demian in order to not "fall into that world again", which ended up being futile.The more bizarre aspect of it is him finding Demian again, and joining his weird cult of Abraxas, trying to better the world, or at least, have supposed intellectuals try and discuss possible ways to do it, before WW1 started and they got drafted.If it's anything like the book, it's gonna end with Sinclair continuing the legacy of Demian, and basically becoming an extension of him by the end, which I think is what the last part implied.
