But now that we're approaching the end everything has kind of been reduced down to 1000 different versions of the reveals that we know we're going to get. Reminder that Deltarune is heavily, specifically influenced by 2 particular games -- Mother 3 and Chrono Trigger. What do both those games have in common? Well, after a long series of chapters setting up the main characters, villains, stakes and lore, you're thrown into an absolutely massive penultimate chapter that opens the game up COMPLETELY into an open-world affair where you go around the entire game world solving quests, fighting bosses etc. These chapters take up a huge chunk of the entire game runtime and I firmly believe Deltarune will be the same; a massive chapter where the entire town is engulfed in darkness perhaps, or the shelter being far, far bigger than we imagined.
