Deltarune is pretty surreal too, the way you spend the whole thing exploring dreamscapes. Am I the only one who feels it’s weird for people to demand a ton of clarity and exposition from weird surreal media? Like this has always confused me. Deltarune makes you feel like you have no idea what’s going on, and there’s this big Sword of Damocles called the prophecy/final tragedy hanging over your head at all times, and to me that gives the game a delightful sense of tension and a cool atmosphere. People love Asriel but Asriel was barely foreshadowed and basically only exists in the very end of the game in New Home and True lab. Toby coasts a lot off audience investment thanks to his character writing endearing you to his characters and wanting to see them through but the actual plot is sorta like questionable given Flowey also barely shows up through the game but gets to be the final boss twice and you basically only interact with the character at the very beginning and end. lmao.

Main things to warn is that it has the whole cardpool of Magic (even to the present) so there can be a lot of reading, and not the most polished thing ever (I enjoy it as a casual daggerfall thing but if you were to pick it apart, shit gets weird fast).
