The big fault it has is that Chapter 2 has horrible pacing issues. It dumps different story beats from different plot points on you so fast it'll make your head spin the first time around. Which led to a lot of people missing out on the finer nuances, myself included. It only really came together on my second playthrough. I mean, that pacing problem is huge. So much so it led to the "unfinished" idea, which is just a meme. It all stems from one of the game's main themes, which revolves around loss, to remain vague. And you get to feel "loss" as the player. A phantom pain, if you will. And boy did people hate it. MGS2 all over again desu. The game is finished, all we are missing is the DLC content, which was planned but never came to be. And sadly, the game was forced to run on PS3 hardware too, which I feel held the game back and enlarged the "unfinished" feel. That being said, siding with Songbird is the most gonk thing you can do. Not only is it gonk, it's one of the most monstrously disastrous choices you can make. Carrying this gonk's ass all the way to the launch pad brings nothing but misery to travelers, to NCX, the people of Night City, and yourself. I seriously don't know what musical Vince was smoking when he romanticized sending Songbird to the Moon the way he did.I didn't like this choice, and Songbird is a real piece of shit.. In the Rogue ending if you took to long you'd fall over and Arasaka would capture you. With Panam and Saul, Panam would follow Alts directions and pull you out. But if you went alone without forming a bond with Johnny, he wouldnt be able to control your body to save your life. That V would be to resistant to relinquishing control to a Johnny that isnt fully trusted. That V would also get captured. But a Johnny that does respect V, Johnny would take over and fight the rest of the way and connect to mikoshi. Could even add extra lines if V took to long, was knocked out.. or wake up V for the connection process.

It really annoys me that CDPR is able to make really attractive characters in cyberpunk, but then they just don't 99% of the time.And I don't even mean in a "reee they're making ugly women!" way. Most of the characters outside of a handful of main story NPCs actively just look bad on a technical level.I could excuse it more if the NPCs were more randomized, but they aren't, there are a handful of stock ones that they just didn't make well. And V especially (without mods) can't look nearly as good as the high quality NPCs for like no reason. The clouds receptionist spacebuns for example look great, but the spacebuns you get in the character creator are different and look like shit for no reason.

Finally completed the story. Am I overthinking it, or does the Aldecaldos ending feel like a hallucination? I don't understand how Panam was able to just drag V from Mikoshi all the way back to the entrance to the tunnel, and then for everyone to escape. Small details, like Panam seemingly leaving the Aldecaldos to live with you in the city, or V somehow making it out of Mikoshi alive in the other endings. It all feels like a simulation.
