>>574551464Since the Bakushin card was a very good borrow thois cm and she has guaranted groundwork on there, many pacve chasers also have the groundwork combo to be able to zoom ahead at the start of the race. They then probablyovertake your bakushin and continue proccing skills and stay ahead while your 600 wit Bakushin just slowly falls behind. You're also missing taking the lead (gold version of your early lead skill) and the dodging dange+prudent positioning combo which all add early game acceleration to make sure fronts get to the front asap. Fronts are just unfortunately very bad this cm and your Bakushin is missing both those skills and like 600 wit

Even if your bakushin was taking pole more often, she just gets mogged by other fronts with better midrace available. Your bakushin also has OG unity tier wit, your pace for the first half of the race is determined by random rolls that tend to be higher the higher your wit, so when everyone else is 900-1200 wit you're going to get swallowed up anyway. Fronts are for whales and fools if you're not running vburb
Navigation in the game still fucks with me a little bit. There's skills that want an uma to be on the outside or the inside, but is there anything I can do to make them want to move to either? Will umas always want to stay on the inside to cover less distance unless they're blocked?

In shorter races like sprint you really want Taking The Lead (gold version of early lead), some characters like Suzuka or VBourbon can afford to skip it with concentration (which nullifies late start). It's pretty rough building a viable front if you're a new player because one of the core card (wit bourbon for Taking The Lead) is a welfare that you can no longer get so don't feel too bad about it. Fronts are simply a bad investment for new players right now
