I used to be a killer main who genuinely believed this game was survivor sided but as I've come back to the game for about the 5th time now I've begun to feel less and less like this is the case. I do think survivors generally have a bigger edge than most killers do due to the fact that the game is not balanced around survivors having full 4 man comms, that being said the average match is not a 4 man swf comming their guts out with 4 bnps. The problem isn't that killer is weak, the problem is that the only optimal way to play killer is boring as fuck. It's insane how many people who play killer just chase without thinking, they see retards like Quiet kills and shit do their epic mindgames and think they have a chance to hit at every pallet. If you want to win on killer all you have to do is hold a 3 gen, only chase when you know they aren't on your gens, and when you do chase if they drop a pallet just kick it and leave. This will win you so many matches I know it's boring but it is the optimal way to play killer sadly.

I think the biggest problem with DBD clones is the lack of killer variety. DBD had original killers even before adding Michael. The mechanics of the bots were fine, but you can't really code proper "gamesense" into a bot. Playing as ghost against bot busters was the worst and you can run circles around them if you know what to do, playing as a buster against bot ghosts was a lot better since there are "ghost bounties" that add modifiers. Being nerfed by your three other bot teammates makes the extreme difficulty ghost bounties with difficult modifiers 'somewhat' challenging, especially if you run default/less good equipment. I did grind the offline mode A LOT when getting to P5/unlocking equipment against public lobbies didn't have to put up with me doing weird shit for my contracts. Overall I'd say it's fun (if you like ghostbusters that is), not super challenging since the bots are pretty stupid, but shooting proton packs and doing the base loop of catching ghosts in offline is fun even if it is quite easy. I liked to challenge myself to see just how quickly I could catch the bot ghosts.
