Just from what we've seen my take on it is that failure points have been removed in favor of smoother gameplay experience. Biggest things at which FFXIV players struggle, especially in endgame content are keeping your gcd rolling and not drifting your cds. From the looks of it they've essentially removed cd drifting entirely so that leaves rolling gcd as the only thing. If the potencies are set up in a way where you can just press anything in any order it kind of makes my head scratch as to what am I supposed to get out of this as a high level player.In my opinion if they're going to change basically how the system has worked since ARR (you have a mostly rigid rotation of button presses in order) they should've also lowered the GCD timer to 1.5-2 seconds instead of keeping the old one. If the system stays as it is, it seems to be about as shallow as a piss puddle with no failure points at all. Seeing the DRG Stardiver combo actually gave me hope and made me wish the entire job was like that.
