New player here. I've been reading the OP and watching all the vids I can, but the one question I can't find an answer to is should I be maxing all my frames, weapons, etc. ranks? For example, should I devote time to getting all their ranks to 30, or does this not matter? Just slowly grinding through all the missions so far, taking my time and enjoying it while practicing movement, but I'm having a blast so far.

once you hit 30 you get all the exp from a weapon / warframe, and can sell it or whatever without wasting exp.
also the max mod capacity is determined by the weapon level, so it only gets full capacity at 30

The one thing that you should be working on passively all the time is your MR
Since if you ever get MR locked, having to grind MR is a very Tedious, and I'd say, Game quitting experience.

Best thing to do is to just enjoy the game, but try to get everything you acquire to 30, or until it has the little mastered symbol on it, so that you're slowly progressing your MR even when you're doing other things.

You can tell a weapon or frame is safe to sell when you see the wreath symbol on it. While you dont need MR beyond 7 or something for content in game it does lock better weapons away until around 14 and its increases the limits on things you can have to make the game generally less restricting.

Tip, you can level things a lot faster in multiplayer missions because you gain affinity from nearby players' kills (which is then split between all of your gear). Turns it from a grind into a breeze.
You want everything to hit max rank before you consider getting rid of it. Each unique item permanently adds to your account's mastery level, which helps you unlock more gear and better quality of life.

I have more experience with Nyx, but I love Wisp all the same. So I'll start with Wisp since that'll be less text.
Wisp, just go retard mode and max out Power Strength, add some range so your Mote circles aren't incredibly small and you have some movement room, otherwise stand in it and you become the most valued being ever and your boosts from them will be retardedly strong. There's also some Melee Influence and Shock Mote afk thing, but I've not looked into it.
I'd talk in detail about Nyx but I dare not risk her getting the same attention Hildryn got recently, so to keep it short: Augments for her 1, 2 and 4. Make it a duration build with some strength and use crit weapons. I'd speak more, but Pablo fears the chinese and not me.
