But I think a game is ultimately dependent on its writing, because if I don't enjoy that then I'm not going to want to play it regardless of how good it looks. Now, after having dedicated roughly two days to the endeavor of reading both X-Change and X-Change R, I can confidently say that I don't know which one to recommend if you'd ask me.While the original game comes without backlog, a broken OST that doesn't loop its songs correctly and no proper skip function, whereas the Remake has all of those, plus voice acting, and new content (two new characters, one of which being the aforementioned white woman, four new h-scenes and three new endings), I vastly prefer the art and soundtrack of the original game over the remake's new "improved" versions. The OST is very obviously inspired by Ranma½, which is kind of lost in the new version. For me, it's Underground: The Red Path
All this LiL talk makes me think about all the reasons why I like Dissonance, his author makes just about 280 bucks per month, but still a game with pleasing visuals and custom and carefully worked Koikatsu models, and the story is really good for many reasons, for me it is a soulful game with a small following community. It's a laid-back kinetic novel following a decently sized cast. I like how chill it is to read.
