okay so playing DQH this past week i think it's really good, the only thing i don't like is the ai just standing still most of the time, both enemies (which makes sense i guess, given their numbers) and party members (which feels weird to me, cause other musous i played aren't like this, or at least didn't feel like this given they don't stick around you like they do here)in any case, i think it's a good blueprint for a proper action rpg spin-off, if they changed the aforementioned ai thing, have less enemies on screen, make it a proper "walk to places" instead of "select levels from a map" and i guess also rework skills so that characters have more than 4 spells (like they could do the same "hold button for the list to show up" but it's a wheel instead)

There's an overworld you can explore instead of just a level select and characters have more than four skills (not all accessible at once, but you can at least customize them). There's even a vocation system for the protagonists so you can customize their movesets more. It's all pretty basic, but you can tell they wanted to make it more of a real action RPG. It's disappointing that they never made another after that.
