Mauga is not necessarily the problem, he's a symptom. the real issue is the tank role in general. Mauga was another attempt to get people to play tank by making a dps with tank stats that's easy to play. obviously it didn't work, so he should be reworked into an actual tank. better yet, fix the tank role (they will never ever ever ever do this)

It's crazy how simple private server hosting and a server browser would solve many of the games issues. You could play on servers that don't have payload/escort on them. You could find servers that have fun people to play with of similar skill level. It would encourage a pick up group competitive scene with ladders. All ills come from the matchmaking algorithm the game insists.

I feel like what most people perceive as "smurfs" in quickplay are actually mid-high ranking players queuing with low ranking friends. So a guy who's usually in silver-plat QP lobbies will suddenly have a masters-GM player in the middle of everything ruining the match.As a certified QP warrior who spends most of their time in diamond-GM range QP lobbies, every time I queue with friends I just play support. If I play the heroes I actually play, I'll go 30-0 against the silvers and golds their lobbies bring us. Essentially meaning that my friends don't even get to play the game.

That version of Moira is still unironically better designed than Ana because she still had to actually pick between damage and healing and didn't also get a hard stun that put you down for 8 seconds.
