Reason why you need a wind team is for endgame content, you fight superbosses that have 9 HP phase thresholds. One boss in particular is a Kraken and it drops the fabled "blue rocks" (not the same as blue gems). These allow you to overload your gear. Gear ranges from 1-9 (T1, T5, T9, etc), with the last gear being MT9 (Manufacturer Tier 9 gear). This gear can be leveled up 5, and when you add a blue rock (custom module) you evolve your gear to "Overload" (gear is permanently attached) and 3 lines appear on your gear. These lines can be rerolled for better stats such as higher attack, ammo, elemental damage (the best ability btw). Then you can join us and cry when you don't get a good line.
