I tried out melee because of what an anon said on the last thread, I even got a skutlass Ignis and a decent sword and...Melee sucks :/Any enemy Pal or boss worth its salt just kills you if you go melee. Also skutlass sucks. This is not even a skill issue but he sometimes takes longer to drop from your hands, meaning he often dies through no fault of your own. It is completely up to chance if he quickly drops or not, meaning you can only really use him for an even shorter time than 5 seconds, more like 3. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I even mixed in a Lovanders and Pupperai, whenever I am not using skutlass I switch to Lovader to heal up a bit. But the damage isn't really there to justify going melee, much less the survivability. What am I missing?

Player damage is now the diverse team style of play. HOWEVER, no you don't need a full same type team. The only reason I mentioned Rayhound and Sparkit is because they have instant synergy with Puffolt and with each other. Sparkit more so than Rayhound. You can have Puffolt be your protagonist without building the rest of the team around him. It just depends on what you find most fun. I myself usually have 2 stars in my team. A combat Pal that's the star for important fights with someone boosting him, and another one (usually the mount for comfort) that's more for the overworld and dealing with masses of fodder or running fast and ignoring them, probably his own booster too. I also like Pengullet because of that, condensed he no longer dies and I just shoot him at enemy crowds from afar, then run in and kill them all with a different Pal.

The fastest I got was poison blast on a mount with serenity, and it could shoot every ~1.5 seconds. Still not worth it compared to just using better attacks. Too much animation lock time, unreliable, poison doesn't last long enough to take huge advantage of prixter/bakemi's abilities. I swapped the poison strategy out with a blindness strategy with Roujay's ability and it is just way better. Every tick of dark laser and apocalypse have a chance to proc blindness mid attack, so the rest of that attack gets damage boosted and if you can squeeze in another before it wears off that gets damage boosted too. Plenty of very good dark attacks can apply blind compared to unreliable poison shower and weak poison blast.

Saddle is much earlier and even with the level limit double blizzard spike and raw stats fucks most things. Plus you can breed a frostallion noct for additional stat sticks as soon as you find helzephr.

why is the arena legendary schematics so expensive. By the point you can farm the highest arena (lvl 80) they are severely outdated by the normal armors/guns. Even the level 65 arena is kinda inconsistent with it's difficulty my level 77-79 pals with 1 of them maxed combat souls and the other 2 having at least 30% getting easily deleted hp wise by lvl 65 pals while theirs are somehow tanky (the only winning move at that point is to focus the tanky pal tamer enemy.

@/pal/Is there a system that determines whether or not your base is in a high traffic area or something ?Context: my original base was only threatened with a raid 1 time over the span of about 30 days. But my new base is threatened by a raid literally every 2nd or 3rd day like it just will not stop happening. I don't live near an encampment or anything, just out in the wild.
