This 'extra hit' causes the acid shells mod from the kuva sobek to 'hit twice' which will cause a cascading effect if it deals any damage over time (so xata's whisper is not that good with this, sadly). Acid shells scales with enemy hp, so this effect works all the way to level cap as long as you are able to kill the initial enemy.

It is overpowered, and not in the clickbait sloptuber way, it is genuinely overpowered and I do not know how this has not been nerfed years ago. Cyte is the strongest user of this because A) he can shoot through walls, and B) he can use electricity which is a really strong DoT, and there is a primed electricity shotgun mod and purple shards which add electricity to your weapon (both of these boost how strong the acid shells effect is).

Anyway he has no grind because you basically get him passively from levelling up Cavia.
