Melee is actually surprisingly easy.

If I'm being honest I feel like the entire year has been a letdown sans a few parts.
Combat made range and mage a pain in the ass because of ammo consumption.
Removal of bxp and lamps but no real improvement in skilling and exp rates, or just general enjoyment of skilling to compensate for why people depended on that shit so much.
Early game rebalance felt like a complete miss.
Mid game rebalance is so-so.
I'm sure the late game rebalance will be equally underwhelming.
I don't even think I've noticed a single thing with regards to the player avatar change.
Dungeoneering change is kind of a step in the right direction with regards to rates but it still doesn't address the problem of the skill itself being balls to do, shitty repetitive puzzles, needing to click a million times to get anywhere, bosses such as ramfist and saggitre being the most cancerous time wasting fucks to fight and them being scaled to level like 5 even when you're on the highest complexity and difficulty and dungeoneering level 74 and 110+ combat levels.

I don't even know what's left but this whole road to restoration felt extremely limp and I think it turned off more people who were used to 8 keys a day, bonus exp out the ass, wilderness flash event easy leveling and cosmetic whoring than it did people who play OSRS and think very little of RS3(if that number is more than 0).

Work your way up to chaeldar and you will be using him for a while. Slayer points don't add up as fast in rs3 compared to osrs the bonuses are way bigger there. Just get superiors and your broad bolts unlocked for later. It's not too different from osrs, new slayer masters are post game.

Well you can technically do the thieving grind to 114 and get asuran arsenal unlocked in like 40 hours. It's going to be a bit less afk unles you can get ancient spells for crystal mask to make it 5m afk. And the runback to Anachronia might be a bitch without a slayer cape.
Maybe if you power level necro you can get to the money making rituals? Would probably take 40-60 hours but at least your gear is free but you can't sit at abyssal demons for free money while you level.
So if u power leveled necro maybe you could do it. I don't think you are quest locked from high level rituals but you might be and the later necro quests have high reqs. Probably your best bet tho.

I've always like the simple rock em sock em nature of RS combat. I just like the crafting/gathering and number go up content. Combat and especially bosses were always secondary to me. I want a boss to maybe require specific loadouts or potions, but I don't want difficulty.

i think we can have both ie enrage. rs3 pvm IMO is easier than endgame osrs pvm. osrs endgame pvm has hard filtered me. but it is doable if you learn the ins and outs of the combat system.

i love rs3 and osrs.

I prefer rs3 in general. I was never a big fan of the Zeia rep grinds. Games like Todt/Temp are negative fun, nothing I hate more than having to click as soon as something stops my progress bar. Rooftop agi and GOTR are great, the worst skills in the game aren't nearly as bad anymore in osrs.
But osrs went and ruined things with the inferno and adding a bunch of raids. I don't know who is begging for 10 man content in runescape but it was never me.

but it should absolutely still have a solo option. im hoping amascut in rs3 adds solo scaling. and it'd be nice if beastmaster durzag and yakamaru has solo instances. make them super fucking hard (but easier than group scaling) but please let me avoid other players.

we should just have the player character naturally be rewarded with the innate ability to slay quest specific creatures such as the ones that require ice gloves after you have beaten said quest.

there's no reason not to do stuff like this if rs3 is the "modern runescape"

hell id even argue we should be able to kill vampires and shit without "silver" or blisterwood weaponry after completion of the entire vampire questline. maybe we do reduced damage but the player character themselves could simply be their weakness too. shit like this needs to happen imo.
