Everyone points to aqua as the flower who's most similar to kris, but i feel like overall she is far less like kris in personality than she initially appears, and may be instead somewhat influenced by the view of kris held by others (the โweird kidโ, a troublesome and carefree prankster, ect.) but yellow, i think, is the flower that most directly reflects krisโ own internal world. yellow in particular seems like an almost caricaturish version of krisโ self-image; constantly wracked with guilt, constantly engaging in self-sabotaging behavior at the slightest provocation. itโs easy to read asgoreโs vengeance-driven and violent behavior as something kris may have seen before and internalized; itโs incredibly likely, at least to me, that heโs a major cause of both krisโ and yellowโs guilt; and while i do think yellowโs desire to be a cowboy is fairly earnest, it does stand out to me that he is the one second-most tailored to asgoreโs preferences behind flowery (as well, kris is the one primarily associated with allusions to asgoreโs cowboy fixation; kris notably does something that causes tenna to freak out after mentioning it, which i think corroberates the idea that asgore doesnโt treat kris super well day-to-day). blue, then, acts as sort of a hopeful endcap to yellowโs krisisms; he turns out to be the culprit behind the case of yellowโs missing petals, but he took them because he wanted to use them to make a romantic gift to share with yellow, and yellow realizes (well, after self-flaggelating again,) that no crime had been committed in the first place. kris is doing a lot of things their father would call โwrongโ; keeping dessโ whereabouts a secret, creating dark fountains alongside her; but in the end, darkness is a force i feel weโre meant to sympathize with.

Although I think people would be really confused by Chapter 5 since it expects a lot of knowledge of UT, but then again having it all be paid off when the game came out would blow people away even harder. i really doubt the forgotten man is meant to be kris' therapist, simply because it seems far more likely that he's the reason they're in therapy at all, and because the idea of their therapist even being a notable character at all wasn't even introduced in the scene where we learn about the therapy. if there were some other party "behind the tree", you'd think we'd have some indication of that within the rooms themselves by now, and the only thing i can really come up with using that premise is that perhaps a rudinn was involved somehow.
