Hina was a lowly member of the intelligence division. We know this already when she explains that she was the one sent out to investigate Yume's death. She was already incredibly powerful, and was wielded as an agent and attack dog by the Thunder Emperor. She just did as she was told by her, because she was her senpai, and she really just didn't care to talk back or think for herself really. Makoto was rebellious right off the bat and began moving to overthrow her. Constantly being smacked down by the Thunder Emperor's forces, and Hina, but she kept getting back up and never giving up. But the Thunder Emperor one day went too far, and Hina had a sudden change of heart and KO'ed the Emperor. She could have taken her place, but that would have been too much of a bother for her, so she gave that up. Only Makoto had what it took to fill the power vacuum and ran sham elections to cement her legitimacy. Since Hina demonstrated that she could have done something all along if she really wanted to, and that she could still at any time take control, Makoto hates her fucking guts. Also why she keeps fucking with her. To keep her busy and in place. Selling to the student body that only she can contain Hina. Hina doesn't care. She just keeps the peace and really wishes she could go take a nap instead.

I didn't see anyone talk about this when the patch hit. Keystones from the pyro store are pretty huge deal for bondfagging. From what I saw on twitter it's 6 per fragment, up to 30 fragments per day. So 3 extra Keystones per day for 180 pyro.It blows those retarded random gifts from the weekly pyro store out of the water(are they even still available? there was never a point to buying them and now doubly so), and it's at least worth considering. My wife will be bond 100 by the time this releases in global but if I can't secure enough gifts to get release 100 on her alt by the time it's announced in JP I might be buying those in the future. The writers understand the golden rule of ""salvaging"" a character. You can never change what that character innately is. To salvage Shuppogaki they didn't have them stop being mesugakis, to salvage Shuro they didn't have her stop being a brat. The key is always to keep them consistent, but to characterize them in a way so its not so bad, or you can see more to their personality now. You can never give a character "character development" that entirely changes their personality or niche, since its a core aspect of them. All you can do is add to them, and show that's not all they are.

The biggest reason I'm in favor of the gacha changes is because I'm now no longer incentivised to only ever roll when I am wanting 2 minimum characters. I never rolled on rerun banners that added an extra student when I already got the other 2 because if I can't claim an extra student with my spark if I get the 1 I want early and I don't care about getting more eleph it doesn't feel worth it to roll and I might as well just rely on spooks or selector tickets. With the change I can more flexibly roll for whoever I want regardless of how many other characters I may or may not want on rate up.
