Its balanced pretty well in that regard, often only a few select characters can make use of those, especially when they boost final damage. Plus hitting a weakness doubling your damage which an off-element dps cannot always do, especially if the boss resists the element you end up using. The difference is that you dont get triple again that score like on the global version so instead of the great canyon you have a large cliff inbetween the intended dps and a substitute. For an A0 dps to immediately invalidate the last A6 dps is insanity for the cost put into them. Whales get far less value out of their seven pull investment this way. On the other hand, supports are even better than they were. The end result is that global players only compete with others who own the two characters that the seasonal fights revolve around and this greatly limits the pool of competitors. It is a strange and restrictive direction to have taken the game in and I cant see who really win in this scenario. In the end it does not truly matter as they grant you enough currency to pull for every single dps anyway. There is just no incentive to invest in more than A0 for them.
