As of now I am a lv 56 Dragoon with 15 levels each in botany and Carpentry, I have cleared the ARR "main" msq and am now at "a final temptation" in the post msq, I have also done all 3 raids on what I assume the lowest difficulty and done POTD to floor 50 with some of the anons here. I have been having a blast, the story really picked up around the halfway point, with Garuda being my favourite primal and The ultima weapon my personal high point of the story, My god was that whole "arc" cool as hell. While I do have some gripes with the pacing of the beginning of the arr story and ESPECIALLY the post msq, I do see their purpose of setting up the story and familiarizing you with the world you're walking in. Gameplay wise its a decent bit better than anticipated, while I dislike the 2.5sec gcd the handful of actions I have off the gcd help alleviate that distaste. but the combat feels neat regardless, the sound is clean and impactful and while I think the particles are a -bit- too much, I cannot deny they look good. The community so far has been pretty good, I dont recall a negative experience ingame so far, quite on the contrary with people waiting while I watch a cutscene (even in the raids)Another gripe I have is the fact that classes are locked behind huge level gaps, which just... mostly sucks for me because I've been really wanting to play Reaper, sage, picto or gunbreaker/dark knight. I will say its been a way better new player experience than wow ever was. and I commend the game for it. As of now I would give it a solid 7 or 8 Tl:dr I've been having a good time and cant wait to get to the parts I've been looking for, but I have some minor gripes with it.
