Disco Elysium punished me for speedrunning because I thought I was on an actual time limit and needed to beat the clock but it did so in a way that still made sense to the story and writing but it was mostly possible because I picked up two of the skills that let you bypass the normal blocks to story progression that are supposed to push you towards the rest of the game.

If I made the weird route for chapter 5, I would have either made Asgore or Aqua the final boss of the chapter. Flowery gets frozen early on.The reason why I would have Asgore as a choice a final boss was so that people can have a hard fight against Asgore this time. He also never got a chance to shine in Chapter 5, which saddened me. The reason why I also had Aqua as a final boss is because I wanted to repeat the sans fight at the end of the UT genocide route, but this time, have Aqua be a parallel to Chara, due to people wanting a chara fight. Maybe if you spare Aqua early on in the game, she’ll not appear again until she shows up at the end with all of her eyes open. Her theme could also be some remix of Megalo Strike Back.

The game will get around the single ending by having a bad ending where the game never ends and everyone is in a permanent state of stagnation and repetition like it was implied to be before chapter 1, Toby will count this as technically not an ending since you can still walk around and exhaust all the dialog.
