Demoman pipes are easier to hit in general. Even the godlike top 500 Junkrats can't consistently damage good Pharah, Echo etc. players. unless they're in a narrow corridor. Junkrat has 'bad maps' like Junkertown and Havana because he's oddly reliant on assassinating people in tight spaces, very gimmicky compared to the hyper-generalist Demoman. The sticky bomb launcher is infinitely better designed than Junkrat's concussion mines mostly because of the arm time. You must wait almost a whole second before detonating a sticky you fired. Plus sticky traps require manual detonation based on awareness unlike the Junkrat trap which triggers automatically. Also, you have to choose between having a trap up and using stickies offensively. It's understandable why he ended up this way, because they wanted to replace balancing by long reload times with cooldowns, which works splendidly for lots of characters. Junkrat has always been a weirdo though.

It's easy for people who are even merely plat or better to lose sight of the super plebby part of teh playerbase not being able to count on having even 1 support and tank in open queue. The dynamic/flex queue thing goes a long way in cutting out those bottom 20% of super painful non-matches just completely out of existence. But if you're dedicated enough to the game to be posting about it here this stuff doesn't affect you as much. Your pain with Ana in particular is not even a blip on the pleb radar
