A realistic Alliance vs Horde war can never happen because the Horde would easily curb stomp the Alliance due to the power difference in factions arsenals.And I know the Vindicaar is the go to cope here from the Alliance, but given Horde assassins and spies are actually good at their jobs unlike the SI7 who have repeatedly been shown to be failures, they would've had already infiltrated the Vindicaar and sabotaged it before the Horde fires their first proper shot, like they did in Ashenvale.
