There are no gameplay restrictions to not instantly getting a free klukai, there is nothing you cannot do beyond score high in gunsmoke and clear things like hero mode or this new tower gamemode. It's a gacha game, you pull characters.

You know, I've usually given Mica grief about these smaller events where nothing happens, but I feel like Liu's event was kinda better than Dawnforger. I think it's because the larger events tend to follow a sort of predictable course at this point (SKK arrives at new destination, discovers evil man and chaos ensues, then victory!), whereas the side events can offer more interesting situations. I think they key is to not tie side-stories to too many uninteresting NPCs (or even SKK), and instead involve other dolls and their interactions.

I am enjoying the new tower mode a lot. When I first started playing the game this is how I imagined it'd feel like. Not just a retarded non-threatening punching bag like in Shitsmoke. Not just giving the enemy a bunch of retarded special effects with dumb objectives like in Extreme Peak. >>576144472QJ and TLL are strong dpses that get way better with dupes. Mosin is mostly a brick that only gets decent with many dupes and requires other electric dolls to function. Same logic applies to Peritya. Sabrina is unimpressive but her ability to generate water tiles eventually (allegedly) gives her a nice niche with the tile / phase reactions update. Both Peritya and Sabrina can be gotten outside the standard pull mechanism, so there's not much of a reason to use your standard pulls on them in the first place. Faye's damage is just ok but she's very useful in drills / pva with dupes due to her high movement and ability to apply movement denied in a large aoe and also pass through enemies. I've cheesed a lot of stages with her and I think she's probably a little underrated. Harpsy has an expansion key in CN and I've seen pics of her doing funny dmg numbers but for the most part I think she'd serve as a better peritya with more utility and mobility.
