I guess some kind of explanation is in order. That is the Endless, a new ancient evil revealed near the end of the first and only Halo Infinite single player campaign titled "Become". The Endless is a species of alien imprisoned on the Zeta Halo ring (Installation 07) by the Forerunners. On the ring is a location known as "The Silent Auditorium" in which The Forerunners would pass judgement on The Endless before their imprisonment. The Endless as we know it is similar in appearance to those of the Cambrian Explosion approximately 541 million years ago on our own planet Earth. Pure speculation at this point, but this may be a new hint connecting Humans and Forerunners in the Halo series. Anyway, the only remaining member of The Endless that we know about is The Harbinger, who joins a faction of former Covenant known as The Banished, lead of course by the Brute War Master known as Atriox. She does so with the secret plan to use The Banished and their hold on the Zeta Halo ring to free her people from their ancient imprisonment and unleash them upon the unknowing Galaxy. Why the fuck didn't the UNSC & Elites not just strong arm the rest of the covenant into a united systems alliance or whatever since they know the flood is a problem for all of them. Alongside rampant AI, Banished & whatever the fuck else might be outside the milky way.

Also on an unrelated note I remember hearing someone insinuate that the precursors are actually evil or at the very minimum dubious & that them "breaking down" into the flood was planned & deliberate. That they actually feed on life itself. Allowing for species to grow and then feed on them, somewhat like the Reapers from Mass Effect. Anything on this in the books or lore or is this just bs I heard from some YT channel?

Wraith has no purpose. They’re so slow and shit and there’s just no section where you’d want to use one.

Also what’s the point of a halo 2 remake? The first remake already looks very good and reuses reach assets, and the one will use infinite assets which are basically modified reach assets.

I think a lot of /hg/ forgets this was the intent behind Escharum and the shrimp.
Half of the Infinite gameplay reveal was spent on a long monolog from a retarded bald ape screaming an inch from the screen, then when the game came out, the entire story was about The Endless (stronger & scarier than the flood btw) being Unleashed but it's a cliffhanger and you never even see them.
