How'd they even show up again to cause the 2nd War? Were there still remnants left on Talos-2 in hiding? Visually, you can see when Alleikhreos comes through the rift that his body is covered in the same purple effect that we see when blight eats away at things, which immediately goes away when he grasps that little piece of originium. This is in line with what Nefarith says later on; that despite wielding Aether powers, the irony is that the Foundation still requires protocol originium to survive and return to Talos-2. And despite siding with the Aether, they're not necessarily immune to its effects either. The little "drip" visual which suspiciously resembles death loli onee-chan's irises seems to be what delivers the little protorig pebble to Alleikhreos, but also our personal protorig always seems to trigger a response to whatever she's doing. She also shows up briefly in the prologue. In my mind, there's a good chance she's the one that "betrays" for the purpose of stealing protocol originium in order to facilitate the return of the Foundation, but also inadvertently injures us badly in the process (but she blames the Terrans for it for whatever reason)
