So, I have now achieved my goal for CW3, Emerald rank for the Legion pots.I mained a Luminous and reached level 280 (my highest level character by far), sitting around 40M CP with rental gear.What is extra cool for me is that entering CW3 the hardest boss I had ever beaten was normal Lotus.Now I have practiced and gotten stronger (also thanks to rental gear) to clear up to Normal Darknell and Chaos Slime, which is huge for me.With a bit more damage I could probably solo Hard Lucid and Will, but I can't quite get there yet.Now upon reaching Emerald, I have every single class level 200 and above in Kronos, my home world. I've had 6 ctene bulers at that point and Ren was doing ctene in half the time.After that, Hayato/Kanna remaster are about 50% faster than Ren. The real misconception is that people STILL think the new classes are only 20-30FD better than kms, when in reality it's like 100FD
I think you misunderstood. People say that it's 10~20 FD on top of the top of kms classes. If you're measuring from the average, where there's already a 15% fd ish spread, you're probably looking at just under 15~25 fd diff

Yes and that translates to more than just 15-20 fd on paper. Things like only needing to max two hexas puts them ahead by another 25FD, uptime another 25FD. You're essentially like a 250mil+ cp at 140 with like a third of the investment. That's not hurr durr 15-20 fd like faggots want you to believe
For Kanna, you actually need one maxed reinforce and 3/4 masteries + origin to do great damage on burst now. Hayato pretty much got what old Kanna had and you can basically brute force a single battou skill and origin to do most of your damage.
I remember going from like a 23 min vhilla down to 18 mins down to 12mins down to sub 10 then sub 5 and suddenly 1 burst felt like a relief over months of time. Now on eral i started at like 15 min run at 40mil, went down to like 7min at 80mil and now sub 3min at 140mil.
my 180m zero takes 4-5 minutes in vhilla
even my 120M ren only takes 3 minutes. skill issue
Yeah my kain was probably not a sub 5 min run until 200+mil. You are simply given all the tools to succeed now, no skill necessary.
It's hard to get attached to these nu-broken classes because everything is going by so fast, you don't really get any time to soak it all in. New players must have no idea what is actually going on or what they are even doing.

What I think nexon never fully understood is that MapleStory was not a PvP game, so obsessing over perfect class balance was never as important as they made it out to be.If one class was stronger than another, that usually did not ruin the weaker class player’s experience. If someone genuinely loved playing their class, they were not going to quit just because another class had something more powerful.What actually makes people quit is taking away the things they worked for and the things that made their class feel special.Bishop is a perfect example. Becoming a Bishop used to be an absolutely brutal grind, but there was a reason people were willing to do it. You knew that eventually you were going to get Holy Symbol, Genesis, and become incredibly valuable. That payoff justified the grind. If I spend an enormous amount of time reaching that point and then Nexon decides those advantages are unfair and starts weakening or removing them, now you have actually taken something away from me. You have reduced the value of the time I invested and removed part of the reason I chose that class in the first place. Meanwhile, the guy playing a class that was supposedly “underpowered” was probably still enjoying himself. My Bishop being powerful did not suddenly make his character unplayable.That is the difference Nexon seems to have missed.In a PvE MMO, every class does not need to be equally good at everything. Some classes should be better at certain things. Some should have extremely powerful abilities. In 7 weeks of CW heroic I have passed my main from Bera (281 9k legion 250m cp). Granted I’m playing hayato but I don’t really care that it’s meta, it’s also a fun class to play.$60 of passes vs $1000-1500 of interactive cubing.I thankfully played the first CW heroic and got to challanger with a BM. So i already have about 6k (4k from the 200 potions). I’m about to hit 8k without grinding because I got 20 more potiions this CW.This is the most fun I’ve had in maple in a LONG time. This can of course go up to thousands of dollars if you are planning to convert NX items to meso due to tradeable NX being an option. I would love to see speedrun times of this and maybe it is, but I don't see it happening. Movement speed, kill speed and all that is just too slow on top of needing to do the quests quickly aswell for the rings since that is what I would assume someone wanting to reach level 15 wants.
