on my 3rd playthrough and I finally started the grove raid for the first time.there are actually some unique enemies and assets during the raid, so I guess this was the intended experience, even on a "good" playthrough
BG3 fucked it up with the dragons. There should be at least one out there besides the undead one and the enslaved red dragon at the end. Either the usual evil kind with a good hoard to loot (I think a green one in the woods would be nice with some manipulated goons at his disposal) or a good one as a quest giver (something with depth and complexity). Maybe a chain quest to get rid of a lich or something.

The larian homebrew is generally fine and mostly just facilitates a videogame experience but if you wanted a closer experience it exists. Those are the two most major gamepaly changes, most of the rest is just adding more classes/subclasses and minor rules changes like character creation. If you have played a few times and want a different experience it's a good mod.Additional encounters and tactician enhanced are a couple others that are good for people who have played already and want something new. Just picked up the game and finish the whole druid questline with halsin and honestly it hasn't really landed with me. I'm not a huge fan of turn-based in general (i'm 40 and played too many rtwp games). But overall the writing feels like everything is a joke so it's taking me out of the game honestly. This takes time and progress. Act 1 is also heavily front-loaded with camp cutscenes and frequent Long Resting is the only way to see them. This ofc goes against the narrative and the game's difficulty doesn't justify it but Camp Supplies are plenty enough to not to worry about it. And more content is always good.
