>>
>>576551314
I am of two minds about the MAS-38. It has a great ROF and an instant reload (1.2 to 1.5 seconds on an Ass IV with reload perks), but it's very inaccurate and the damage feels really bad. You wouldn't think a 9% damage difference would matter, but it does, especially when it comes to dealing with Vitality. It's basically a worse PPS-43, but it is cool at least.

BR I? T-70. Soviet BR I tanks are largely not amazing because they have tiny crews and are really unstable platforms, but the T-70 is a huge pain to kill and is basically a mobile mini bunker.

BR II? T-28E, no contest. The T-50 is fine and all but it has pretty pathetic firepower.

BR III? KV-1, no contest.

BR V is all bad, basically. In a vacuum the tanks are fine but they get fucking clowned on by the Tiger II.

While the King Tiger has more than 100 degrees of frontal immunity, the T-34-100 can be defeated by BR III tanks at any angle, needs to hit the King Tiger in the tiny turret cheek to kill it, and has a much slower rate of fire. It doesn't even have a roof MG!

>Forum is mostly people bitching
This fucking community, holy shit. It's obvious the Devs want people actually playing BR IV, but that will never happen as long as BR V exists the way it does. BR V needs to be split in two and the upper BR V needs to be sequestered into its own MM.

>Tier II autorifles (FG 42 II, 20 round AVT/AVS, T20, Type Hei Auto) moved to BR VI
>Tier I autorifles (FG 42, AVT/AVS, M2 Carbine) nerfed, recoil increased (?), stay at BR V
>Majority of ARs moved to BR VI (MKb and Type 2 excepted)
>MG 42 100, Type 100 LMG, Stinger, RD-44 moved to BR VI
>German autosnipers can stay at BR V as a gimmick
>Toppest tier tanks and jets all moved to BR VI (Americans get the T29, Soviets get the IS-3)
>Give the Japanese some more guns like the SIG MKMO, pull a 20 round Type Otsu or a lost Type 4 variant out of thin air or something, I am fairly sure they had more machine guns too

This would make BR IV actually fucking playable instead of pure torture.
>>
>>576633294
Yeah, the jump in power level from BR IV to BR V is just too massive.
>>
>>576637198
Giving out 15-20 round semi-autos has probably been an attempt to reduce the discrepancy, but it's genuinely not enough. Autorifles as a weapon class render everything but the absolute best machine guns (Stinger and MG 42 100) redundant.
>>
im not going to do this event
UGH I KNOW, its just.. I dont want to, okay?
>>
Japs, Soviets, and Germany are pretty solid at BR4
>>
>>576643467
Every faction is pretty solid at BR IV, the issue is that BR IV gets absolutely fucking reamed by BR V. The FG 42 II is significantly more popular and gets way more kills than the StG because it's fucking ubiquitous, for instance.
>>
>>576638769
Autorifles should just have higher recoil. Make it more viable as a gun you have to burst fire instead of sustained auto fire like the AK in RS2
>>
>>576648651
I folded the stock on the chink AK in RS2 and mowed everyone down. They should give them recoil like the pre-nerf AVS-36 which was so bad no one really used it in Moscow even before the Fedorov was added.

every match with this dogshit game its either so low skill its boring or an insane sweatfest where every second is excruciatingly frustrating doing everything by yourself. matches that are actually fulfilling gameplay are increasingly rare. I skipped the last event and wish I did this one
>>
>>576667446
>bouncy guns are great, the RS2 AKs were so satisfying once you mastered them
Hell yeah. They were super satisfying to use. RS2 did burst firing the best of any game. Guns became massively unwieldy after more than 5 shots which made accuracy with full auto at range unsustainable. But somehow they made it so the barrel quickly stabilizes coming off the trigger, allowing for a recoil reset and another controlled burst. Compared to a game like CS in which even coming off trigger makes the barrel float from residual recoil that paradoxically full auto is more controllable. It's interesting because in real life the Soviet doctrine for AKM operation called for burst firing technique. This works in RS2 because a grouping of 3 shots on target is enough to take an enemy down.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECmnodZ8tpc
>>
>>576668759
Every now and then I try to return to RO2 and RS2, and while I get some enjoyable matches, most of the time it's just getting instasniped by people who have been playing the game for over a decade (tried '83 a month ago since it was cheap, and the maps being new for everyone was a breath of fresh air, but it really needs more maps), and the same issue with Enlisted of people not being in the point

Surprisingly enough, bad teams bother me less in Enlisted than in RO2 or RS2 because at least I can have different classes in the same squad or one respawn away, while in RO2 I had a match in the dreadful bridges map where I had to drop the squad leader class for a while and leave the team with only other 2 SLs to spawn on because everyone refused to change to AT and destroy the Panzer that was farming people on one of the points

I do miss how effective the M1 Carbine was in RS2 compared to Enlisted tho, sometimes I would use it over even the Type 56

I only just started playing RS2 a few months ago and the learning curve was intense, you really just have to accept that you'll get bodied for a while. Once you get a little map knowledge and find a few guns you like, it becomes insanely fun. Campaign runs suck you in, there's nothing like being on the ropes and then coming back in the 11th hour to win it all
>I do miss how effective the M1 Carbine was in RS2 compared to Enlisted tho, sometimes I would use it over even the Type 56
I can't stand the M1 in RS2, it always struck me as a noobtrap gun. It lures you in with those big 30-rd mags only to suckerpunch you with shitty sights and mediocre damage. The M2 on the other hand is a fucking beast, it feels like Christmas every time I steal one from some ARVN tard

I just came back to this game after the last infantry test and the spam in infantry can be kind of shit because there's a 10 at a time vehicle limit for each team which is a little much sometimes but at least everyone only gets two vehicle spawns and they have to earn spawn points. In Enlisted there no spawn limit or points so people can just endlessly cycle heavy tanks which is just garbage gameplay. It's a miracle it doesn't happen every game because there isn't really any disincentive to do it either.

The Suomi has the advantage of having functionally no recoil, which would be great if there were anything else to spend your perk points on besides recoil reduction, hipfire accuracy and reload speed on Ass IVs

I used them for a couple games after unlocking them last year but they really are just worse versions of stock squads. rust is alright since he can use an MG but he has the worst weapon handling in the game to balance his special power of looking ridiculous

>>
>>576771947
The reload speed is absolutely ridiculous. I genuinely won a 2v1 tank battle just because I fire so much faster than them. Plus it has a shell that is HE and AP, so you never have to switch between these two. Absolutely annihilates infantry as well, just blasting a shell every 4 seconds or so? Truth be told, it's OP as fuck in my opinion.

Using Rust to sanic speed into the point and hose everyone with an MG-42 is pretty decent.
I don't really use any of the Halloween squads though. I've got the Samurai and Medic in BR1 mostly as filler and Rust in my Alternate BR5 lineup. I used to have the Russian in BR4 but he's been pushed out.

How in the dickens does the game determine whether a rally point or APC is "in battle" or not?
>>
>>577046323
APCs don’t have a battle penalty or enemy proximity that prevents spawns.
The only reasons you wouldn’t be able to spawn on an APC are because it’s too close to the objective, some retard doesn’t want to get out of it, or it’s on fire.

I think US BR5 has the best machine guns
sure, the RD44 is great and the MG42 100 is also great
but

the 1919 has a slow enough fire rate that it's just consistently great, and for any close ranger room clearing, you can use one of your 13 stingers
>>
>>577109947
Due to the weirdly missing front sight post, the annoying firing note, the infinity-pattern recoil, and the mag that has 100(!) rounds too many, using my Stingers feels wrong in several ways.

The MP 41(r) has even less recoil than the PPSh. 6/4 vs 8/4, which means you can comfortably take horizontal reduction on the MP 41(r) to totally eliminate basically all of its recoil. Makes me miss when the PPSh had autorifle accuracy.

>Ass IVs with reload speed

The ideal for an Ass IV on most guns is probably:

>Mobility
1 point in pose changing.
1 point in fire extinguishing.
3 points in run speed.
16 points in sprint speed (sprint and run speed stack).

>Vitality
1 point in stamina regen.
2 points in stamina.
16 points in Vitality.

>Weapon Handling
2 points in "weapon accuracy after quick turning" (actually improves hipfire spread by 40%)
1 point in weapon change.
9 points in vertical recoil.
8 points in reload speed.

This works on most guns, exceptions are weapons with a lot of horizontal recoil (Conders, Lanchester Model 1).
