Just finished RJ299558 after having it in my backlog for years, and holy shit why did nobody tell me it was kino?The story was well told while keeping it succinct, the gameplay had some quirks but ended up with a good amount of depth, and the route switch with all that came with it worked really well to both freshen up the experience while emphasizing the narrative themes. It's really rare to see everything come together so cleanly. The ero was also pretty good. The art and animations were nice, and while the written scenes were decent, they were all a little short for my tastes. If I had a complaint, it would be that all humanoids share the same basic model whether you're a goblin or an ogre. It would've been nice to get at least some color/dick shape changes, but I guess the animation might limit that. The integration with the gameplay was good enough for me to overlook those shortcomings though.The battlefuck is where the ero really shone. Killing soldier, hunter, and mage, and assaulting all the mobs between them, takes a few minutes once you get to the point you can do it. That alone gives almost enough Karma to buy a Forbidden Fruit and max out one monster. The way later monsters inherit stats from the earlier ones means the numbers grow very quickly.
