I skipped over Ultra shield and went immediately to advanced shield. They are pretty close in tech tree and by the time I got enough ancient cores, I already unlocked the advanced shield. Thermal cores weren't an issue and hexolite is easy to get in large amounts.

There's definitely some bullshit about Mimog despawns. I was just chasing one and it pathed behind a little rocky outcrop, barely big enough to hide it, and it vanished. I've long suspected that they actually despawn completely if you lose sight of them, and this confirms it for me. It was in an open field and I was mounted and keeping up with it, and it just despawned completely after passing behind a small boulder. There's nowhere else it could've gone. Its name tag just vanished.

Question on XP rates:I feel like progression is way too fast early game. I walk down the road and fart and level up. I'm leveling up so fast that I feel like I don't even have a chance to use certain tools, techs, pal gear, before something newer and better unlocks. I set it to 0.1 and the early game progression feels way more balanced. I'm wondering though if mid to late game it'll be a fucking grind. Especially when I run out of pals to 5/5 capture. I've run this from level 1-25 and have 5/5'd about a third of the pals in the game, so it seems like this scale should work out fine. Anyone have experience with modifying XP rates and how it effects the entire length of the game?

Since Palworld was in early access every update introduced a new tier of materials to collect and use for crafting and you were meant to be in that tier for quite a while as it was the "endgame" of that update. But now that 1.0 is out, none of those tiers were shortened in length, but the game gives you so much xp that it wants to push you towards the endgame. So now you are either outpacing your natural progression or you are skipping entire tiers. The only tier you can't really skip is oil because you need a lot of it in the endgame, but everything else can be reasonably skipped and you only need to go out to collect a little bit of it every now and then, like ore, or just set up an ore mine in your base.It also means you are just going to blow up the base game and make the towers feel like absolute jokes compared to how they should be. I beat every tower in less than 15 seconds because I was overleveled, which meant my pal was overleveled, and my Pal practically 2 shot Marcus, Victor, Saya, and Bjorn. And I had already outpaced all the materials collected in those zones so I really only explored them just to grab the effigies which only took like 15 minutes each.And this was all on 0.5xp. I should have switched to 0.1
