I think Amy being a girly girl who is open about her love and interest in things like mysticism, fate, etc. is fine and any attempt to erase it has been worse than it but the series could use some female characters not interested in romance or associated with shipping just for variety or attempting to grab a female audience that doesn't care for these elements. only ones i can think of are either literally too young for it like Cream or characters people aren't interested in like Wave. both of them are also side characters not appearing in anything.

I still think about how much of a clusterfuck Sonic 06 was from a lore perspective. Good think Sonic Generations came around as the lore's "Get out of retard ideas" card.
