The obelisk phase sucks so hard if you're soloing it. p1 wardens solo just sucks. got my infernal cape!I reached wave 67+ like 6 times without it, but ended up doing a mage tank + bowfa setup since I was probably averaging like a 50% success rate actually getting through the waves, and mage tank makes it legitimately free solving the waves. Anyone who says I still alternated / solved stacks "properly", but it really does feel like cheating with how easy it makes it. Overall, the power creep really is crazy, with 3 prayer regeneration pots I didn't need any other prayer regeneration sips until the first jad.Still took me like 4 more zuk attempts to finally beat him. He's not the hardest boss, but he is a lot harder than I thought initially. Will probably go back on task without tank setup when I get the chance.

Am I missing something about this game? I started this game a couple weeks ago but I'm not sure I want to keep playing.The game's fun in some aspects, like the music and atmosphere is great and I love exploring, but the combat is just clicking and waiting, most of the quests, particularly the older ones, are so convoluted that they practically require using the wiki to figure them out, most of the game so far has been a semi-afk grind. Even reducing the grind requires an absurd amount of grinding. I spend a ton of time walking around everywhere so I want to get the graceful set, but that will take me dozens of hours of clicking on tightropes to obtain.The game feels like I'm paying for the privilege of working so unless something changes later on I don't really see what people see in this game.

For example an early game goal might be to do barrows for better gear, but in order to do barrows you might want an iban's staff which requires you to do underground pass which itself requires a couple other quests. And if you want to squeeze more efficiency out of your barrows runs you want to do the hard morytania diary which among other things requires you to level woodcutting, and the best way to get early woodcutting levels is to do other quests and maybe you also want to go get the lumberjack outfit for better xp rates and that comes from the temple trekking minigame which requires a different quest which needs some crafting levels and so and so forth. If that sounds like a pain in the ass to you rather than being fun or engaging you should quit the game now.

I Have 7 accounts and I've bought gold in the past to fund all my accounts. The game doesn't give me joy anymore. Would creating my first iron man be what I need? I never do PVE, but if I did PVE on any of my other accounts it would feel useless because I can just buy the items from the GE with all the RWT gold I have so drops mean nothing.But then I think about the grind on an iron man.. like, spending hours trying to get a good weapon.. that sounds miserable but when you finally get it is the feeling you get worth it?

if you purely are trying to chase dopamine then it's probably not worth it. even if you've been groomed to be a maladjusted cretin by streamer culture and audibly pop off when you get something epic, the time invested to get a lot of the items in this game means that you're doing what's probably a hundred hours or more on average of an unjoyous activity just for 15 seconds of dopamine.however, if you enjoy the steady march of progress and watching all of the things you've earned accumulate in your bank eventually become an ever wider assortment of options for ways that you can interact with the game, then yeah you might enjoy helmie mode. i think this game is quite rewarding despite my pvm progress being pretty stagnant right now since i have a lot of goals that aren't pvm related that are definitive in nature and not nebulous in the way that pvm drops are.
