It's insane how well optimized this game is. Maybe I'm just used to other games but this game loads incredibly fast. When I used to play Blue Archive it felt like it took an eternity to load after you opened the game. Everything here just feels so zippy, it's refreshing

GFL has bunch of modes that rotate on weekly/biweekly basis and doing it can take like hour to three, reading through whole event story takes few hours, but there is automatic loop system which lets you plan all the mundane daily chores like burning stamina on stuff you want to farm, collect rewards, do meaningless PvP and daily platoon level farming automatically within like few minutes. So on daily basis it's extremely short but it's good to reserve hour or two on the weekends to do other shit and read story.

The tower has made me realize that we need more mid-tier difficulty fights. Part of the problem is that most maps in this game are beyond easy, pure auto-filler. Then you have the tiresome, absurdly tanky heroic story/40drills/gunsmoke fights that are simply way too tedious to do without wheelchairs. There's almost nothing in the middle where you have to put in SOME level of effort, but not to the point where you have to restart and read 50 pages of convoluted mechanics to clear with v0 units.The tower is flawed since the start and the end are also always going to be way too easy and hard, but at least everyone will find a point in the middle where it's "just right" for their roster. The core gameplay isn't so bad, it's just a lack of appropriately-scaled content that is the problem.

There's a ton of stuff GFL2 hasn't really touched on, but the very existence and all of GFL2 spoils at least the ending of Skk's story. GFL1 story is better but it's a decently long read. Find a starting point where you remember leaving off, watch a recap video (there are good ones on YT) for the earlier stuff just so you know context, and read from there. They let you skip the gameplay for reading purposes so you don't need to spend hours clearing level 10 maps. You'll also get a billion resources and gems and whatnot for clearing 50 events worth of content nonstop. Assuming you mean rerolling your entire GFL2 account to get the next character then saving up for Sop, that's a 1000% for sure bet because you'll be able to shove all past events and story mission pulls into your gullet. You'll have enough to get sop easily if you level dorks enough to clear maps and play the past events, you're talking multiple copies if you actually use them all for her, lol

You'll end up with 10x the amount of gems it costs because it perfectly clears every map in the game up to those chapters, saving like a month of daily gameplay at least (assuming you tried actually clearing the entire game perfectly in every map) and giving you a billion rewards. If you got to chapter 12 then just play the game from there after getting a memory refresh, it's all there and in-order. Get a coffee and don't get eye strain from the reading. Don't be stressed about trying out the ranking maps, they're fun and the rewards are good for the dolls they affect and it doesn't matter how many times you attempt them the scores all add up.
