Found a much more aesthetically-fitting warpick on a random Donghard corpse lying near a shack in hotm. In the ck, the software is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of you tell the software to place a npc at such and such coordinates, and it creates a mod plugin and automatically populates that plugin with records specifying the npc's name, inventory, their outfit, stats, voice, and their coordinates in game. Nifskope is you modelling an idea in your head and using a piece of software as a canvas to do so. It's a lot more susceptible of a claim of intellectual property ownership by the artist than the former example, so .nifs I could see being owned by the creator and mod plugins by bethsoft. But I could be totally wrong.

Some recent quest mods I played;Away - Come Away: The armor and weapons it gives look pretty nice, even though the enchantments on the weapons and amulet are a little bit lackluster. The quest itself is quite nice too, though I don't like that the quest starts right when starting a new game. When you go to the place it points you to it puts you into a pretty hard unescapable bossfight as well which can be a bit of an issue on certain setups, especially if you do it at low level. It also takes away the weapon that leads you there which can cause issues if you were using it as a main weapon. Still I would recommend it as long as you don't do the quest immediately at the start of a playthrough.Haunter of Skyggenborg: It has a nice atmosphere, the castle itself looks very nice and the mod itself doesn't outstay its welcome whatsoever. When it comes to level design I would say it overuses the "do 3 things to open a door" type of design but it isn't really long enough for it to get annoying. Like the previous mod this one also forces you to fight a boss at the end, but unlike the previous mod, it gives you an item that basically guarantees you can complete it, without trivializing the fight itself. Very good overall in my opinion.The Daedrologist - Reckoning: Pretty neat for what it is, has some nice choices and the levels are alright though sometimes a tad meandering. It even has some choices, though most of them are just "do you go the extra mile to help someone for a better outcome?" Bioware style. You do get a choice on how the quest ends at least. The companion that it comes with is also fairly in-depth and has a lot of dialogue options with a lot of back-and-forth, you can even reveal some of your own backstory to him. Nothing mindblowing but it's a nice mod overall.Are there any more less well-known quest mods that people here can recommend?

In order to know it's a mod you want locked into your load order you need to test it and see if you like it, right? Well, for a quest mod that means you have to play through it in the first place, and are you really going to start a new game for each one? Bear in mind that quest mods usually can't be played on a brand new character. This is also where the principle that it's usually safer to add than remove comes in. A lot of quest mods that have no problem being added whenever will leave stuck scripts, baked in references, etc. if you remove them. So you install your quest, start a game, finally get to play it at level 15 or 20 or 40 or after however many prerequisites, find you really hate it and want it gone, but it can't be extracted from your save. You have to ditch the whole save.

Is there a mod to debloat the numbers/stats? For example, if a weapon does 50 damage it is changed to 5 and health of everything (player included) is reduced to match, if Armor caps at 500 it instead caps at 100 or 50 and armor values (and the curve) are reduced to match. I know there are mods that adjust the curve of protection from armor but not lowering all the values along with the curve specifically. I also know there's mods to reduce gold and loot gain and change prices of everything but I haven't seen one for stats.

First of all, Sen wouldn't join the Vigil of Stendarr. That doesn't make any sense, but I wanted to replay it anyway and didn't want to come up with a new character for it. His goal is simple, the steps he has to take to accomplish it feel organic and his journey is fun and doesn't feel contrived. His story feels like a real legend.Redguard has among the most interesting narratives and some of the tightest themes in any Elder Scrolls game, probably only next to Morrowind.It's just such a shame that the game has some of the most infuriating controls of any game ever released.The voice acting is pretty poor, too, bar some of the voice actors who would return for later games. But the writing itself is a lot of really good old-fashioned dialogue - the kind that would probably have been viewed as pulpy by a contemporary audience, but which nowadays feels descriptive and gripping when compared to the snappy whedonesque one-liners of modern games. Cyrus kind of stands out for not using contractions in his speech, and it marks him as a polite and well-spoken man.Some of Michael Mack's delivery can be stilted - it sounds like they just used the first take as is Bethesda's wont - but overall I like his voice and would love to see him return to voice some Redguard characters. He had much improved by Oblivion and he delivered some of the most iconic lines of the game as Owyn. The widely-disparaged combat is actually decently fun, though, once you know what you're doing. But the general movement is infuriating more often than not, which is inexcusable for a game that involves platforming.
