Wasn’t trying to ragebait. I liked Mahoyo's cast way more. The prose was also better though I guess that can be chalked up to translation. Fate has way too many infodumps and shonenslop moments for me to take it seriously. Mahoyo also has some, but the slice of life and those three interacting is what I liked the most.

The "takedown" of my Dissonance review last thread was rather bizarre, it felt like an attempt at a series of witticisms and gotchas rather than saying anything substantial. I therefore don't take it seriously. In general I try to take feedback seriously, but it's pretty obvious when someone is just pissed and trying to epically own their enemies for rhetoric points. That's why I don't take Aisir seriously; he likes to be a dick to people on vndb, but never constructively. When I can feel that someone is placing their ego on the line and that they are desperate to "come out on top" in some abstract way, their words become completely empty. They came from a rotten place, not sincere criticism. (It's important to realize that if you get pissed off at something, you can construct witty critiques of anything in the world. There is no VNDB review so well-written and so perfectly constructed that a pissed off troll couldn't do an epic takedown on it. Thus, one will only waste their own energy taking such vacuous takedowns seriously.)Also, friendly advice to LiL haters: The whole "everyone who likes LiL is a quofling organized on his discord" idea will only get weaker the more people play LiL. It is already obvious enough at this point that the like 5+ people playing and liking it are not all my tendrils, and it will only become more obvious, so sticking to this point as it becomes obviously untrue to everyone with a pulse will only make you look more silly. I, in fact, do not even have a discord server of my own.
