I was watching some videos on Project Sunrise, that thing where you can play on a private version of the game with all the stuff from before sunsetting, and it finally dawned on me just how incompetent everyone at Bungie really was. No more than twenty guys working for free could restore the entirety of D2 minus enemies and encounter mechanics, whereas Bungie couldn’t do it with hundreds of employees and hundreds of millions of dollars.
