Is it really the case these days that turn 1 answers to your opponent's combos just aren't enough? Sometimes, or at least against some decks, it really feels that way. That an Ash or Imperm, or even two hand traps, just isn't enough to stop people from completely popping off.

It became a winmore option that only helps the going first player who doesn't even need that help so it came off the list. Except in paper play, side decks exist, so it just makes the going first problem bigger. And in MD, you're never getting knocked out of a tournament because you bricked on Judgment going second, you can just queue again. You can even rank up with a 50% winrate, so you can just play an ultra-greedy Solemn-filled going first deck and win 100% of the time going first and that's good enough even if your going second winrate suffers.

There is a point where some things can just kind of be too much. That you can do too many things for effectively no risk.
