i'm new to fighting games and i'm playing on a keyboard.is it normal for beginners to completely swallow some inputs (kinda like swallowing words)? sometimes i'll do a dp input, but i'll do a fireball instead.and the timing of some things like jump cancels, or the buffer to input another special during an animation is still a bit awkard to me.combo trails are being kinda tuff, since i think my body just goes into mashing mode and i skip some inputs.is this a normal newfag thing or is it over for me?

when i do 2H, i usually do j.HMHMHH. seems to work for everyone i play. this is usually 7 hits if no multihitters. sometimes it just ends at 5 or 6 and knocks them to the ground. its not input error on the training room either. dont feel like im mashing or mistiming it. is there a trick to getting this consistent? what am i doing wrong?
