You actually lose 50% of the time dude. No matter what it’s inescapable. Thats literally the most fundamental part of competition is a 50% win rate. Pro players on twitch have a 50% win rate. Literally the most skilled raider is losing 50% of his raids. They’re losing half the time dude that’s crazy. On a graph basically, you’ll see how it curves near the start of the graph it’s a sharp upwards line but it quickly becomes into a linear line of 50% win/lose. These fags like I go 50-2 and I don’t say “oh shit yeah im the best” I say like “now the real game starts” and that’s when you start going 1 for 1 because that’s how it works. You might get a decent run and then QUIT, but that’s not your win rate. Even if you’re 10000-0, you’ve still lost half your games.

The fact that M+ gear invalidates raiding gear kind of feels like shit. Even clearing higher difficulty raids only lets you buy normal gear with commendations making those effectively useless too. So it's arguably way easier both difficulty and currency wise to just grind M+ keys to get geared. That's pretty shit design.

What you really should do is prepare strats before the raid and post them somewhere that everyone in the guild can read them. I'm just flabbergasted that you'd say other people should do the job of the officers and raid leader for them. But if you seriously don't want to do your job as a raid lead or officer, please promote someone who will, and then step down from the role. I didn't say that.
I said that we could "figure it out together as a guild" and that meant in practice yesterday that we came with some understanding of what bosses did, and figured other things (like we could walk over the fire orbs in Gehennas to destroy them, or that we could keep dogs in Golemagg at 30-50 yards away) as we did a few pulls.
There are small changes we can make to make some things go faster (like figuring out assignments ahead of time), and others that may cause more friction, but let's talk about those after the raid.

I thought that was obvious, but I can kind of see how it could be misread.
The main issue is that there aren't any "definitive" guides to how encounters work in this server, so coming with the ideal strategy ahead of time day-2 would involve either watching other guilds streaming their progress (which is most likely going to be Mythic/Ascended) if they're even doing that, or watching VODs from Bronzebeard and adapting what they do to our raid comp.

The closest we could get to getting to our very first pull with a detailed strat that's guaranteed to work if we execute it well would be to ask the few in our guild who actually did Mythic/Ascended content in Bronzebeard, and see if they remember the details. Of course, for BWL we may be back to square one because I don't think anyone did that on Mythic, and normal was hard enough anyways.
