Outside parsing and CC cheating (and BST rankings in the future, what a stupid idea) there is no way of getting an advantage over other people because FFXIV has no competition, no interactions, and almost no collaboration. Getting a relic by botting has no effect on other people's relics, since it's not something rare or prestigious, there is no limited amount of relics in a world, and they're functionally useless. It's not a zero sum game. You could remove 99% of the playerbase and the game would play pretty much the same. Even the devs know this, which is why they push trusts and duty support so hard.
