There were always two Koyanskaya. Every story chapter she keeps switching between being playful and chill while lowkey helping you, and being angry and short-tempered and threatening to kill you.Dark only ever cared about becoming a Beast by collecting Lostkin and was annoyed whenever any of Chaldea's or the Crypter's actions inconvenienced her. Light was always more interested in the conflict between Chaldea and the Crypters and didn't really have a goal of her own beyond playing both sides and seeing how things played out.Light was the one that infiltrated Chaldea with Goredolf, while Dark was the one that actually attacked Chaldea in the prologue. Light still has a soft spot for Goredolf.I know it's a big ask to say "go reread a whole lostbelt" but if you skim through the absolutely schizophrenic way that Koyan is written becomes apparent. One scene you'll have a rapport with her, cut a deal and leave on amicable terms. Then the next scene she'll be back furious and threaten to kill everyone and have seemingly no recollection of the past conversation. There were always two Koyans working together with different personalities.
