I think it's common ground that Ms. Marvel is the worst character currently, aside from maybe Champion. She does struggles with zoning because she doesn't have a fireball, doesn't have an air dash and her invincible dodge >>577303493 does not have enough active frames to dodge a lot of projectiles.
She does have her strengths, however. She has decent damage and can easy conversions from most of the screen. She is also easy to play so it's good for beginners. Unless you're playing tournaments or is at a very high level she is a fine character to play as point.

Characters don't play the same, they just get similar results with some outliers like Hulk in terms of damage and frankly combo difficulty. Assists also vary wildly in quality (Blade is good in any position, Wolverine is mediocre to bad in any of the three)

I will say I don't think people have spent nearly enough time to assess every character's strength equally but it's pretty clear from the first couple of days that characters like Spider-Man and Gobby have a lot going for them and are unlikely to be dethroned barring a major discovery.

For Assault the best ones are the ones with lots of active frames, "grabbing" properties to move the opponent to let you easily mix them up, so Blade, Spiderman, Hulk, Magneto

if you just want to turn your brain off and mash I would probably recommend bp/ghost rider/magik/hulk. hulk has armor but I don't see him much among pros so I'm guessing he's dogshit in some way I personally don't know. armor is always fun to mash with in fightan games when you're new

You create portals during hard knockdowns or when covered by assists because oki in this game is non existent and 30 frames spent doing nothing get you killed and unlike Peni you can't hide 500 ft above ground to shoot her bots
And you use them to create pressure with fireballs or do mixups with assists, not only because they make them safe (otherwise the opponent can just 2H them every time with no effort) but because they dont give you a combo unless you hit the opponent from the air, the assists allows you to get one every time and stop 2Hs
Something funny you can do is use them to dash behind your opponent. If you have one and use super near them you can enter inside and do the super behind your opponent and you can decide if entering the portal or not, which means it's a funny 50/50 (they can just Assemble counter it though). It will probably work up to Platinum.

But like the other anon said, don't really bother with them too much, it's more important you abuse her normals, her 2M is a warcrime

I put it on another SSD. Game doesn't like my NVME. I kept it at my native resolution (4K, so I had lowered because I thought, well, no shit, it probably has frame pacing at this resolution right? Nope, 4K is where it stays capped). Then I took the executable just in case and capped it at 60FPS in my Nvidia control panel. Last thing is any time I messed around with settings, and frankly this is where some of you will go insane with experimenting, I reloaded the shaders. The 2 in 2M stands for down. Check the numpad of your computer, 2 is the down button on your numpad. 6 stands for forward and 5 for neutral (no directional input). So 5M would be just pressing the medium button

Yes. It runs at 4K on medium settings, however. But its capped. I have kept rivatuner up at all times since then and I have not experienced a drop. Now, this is not me telling you the solution, just what I did, but I want to at least get somebody up to performance after the disgusting amount of time I wasted to get it stable.

I don't necessarily think Danger needs easy access instant overheads like you'd expect of a hoverdash because I don't think it would really fit with the general design of the game for a character to have such easy access to a rewarding overhead that has a lot of ways to access it solo, seeing as characters like Spiderman and Starlord have standing overheads but they're pretty obvious and they can't convert off them by themselves, but she needs some improvements elsewhere if she's going to be that way. I think a faster walk speed and a faster teleport would make sense, and her zoning could stand to be improved too but I don't know what the best way to do it would be. Maybe her missiles could be bumped up to a higher strength so she has an easier time beating other projectiles in exchange for the higher startup.

I recommend doing the game's tutorial, it's pretty decent if you're a complete beginner, and then doing Magik's character trials. It will take very little to make Champion really good they were clearly just worried about him getting his install too easily.

Right now he is just in a fucked up state because he literally gets punished for winning quickly. He needs matches to be dragged out over a long period of time. If he cant play offensively he cant increase his gauge level. If he is dominant offensively then he loses all his levels anyways

they are gonna put Gambit in this game but its going to be 4 Horseman of Death gambit
