The more I look into this character and the lore around both her presence in the story and her real-world conception, the more I start to actually despise her.Surge is a crying jobber bitch whose sole purpose is to appeal to trannies that will make angst art of her and only see her as an uwu traumatized butch lesbian, and when you have the writers and artists baiting her and Amy together or drawing pages worth of her having panic attacks from getting raped, its hard to pretend that isn't what her character actually is. The purpose of a system is what it does. Nothing about her thematically is original or unique, everything about her has already been done better by Shadow and Metal Sonic. Surge's only value is making my penis hard, because if she wasn't hot, she would be worthless. Surge cannot exist in the story without having retarded arguments about the ethics of killing Eggman be brought up, so it's not like she's ever going to appear in any of the actual games unless SoA rapes this franchise even further and carries over Ian's bootleg Red Hood moralizing into the games. Surge is weak and unimposing, she loses to nuts and bolts and gets bitched by an old man with no powers. How are you meant to make this be a compelling antagonist?
