I feel like after a certain point they should just remove Doorman altogether. They undid range buffs he got, they made it so cart can be negated or just ignored, they made it so the ult can be negated or just ignored and you still need skill shots on his bells for decent damage despite all of this. It's clear that having fun with Doorman was never intended but that Icefrog doesn't fucking know what to do with him now that they opened the box. I'd rather they just delete him instead of seeing him get more nerfs every single patch because it's not going to end

I'm pissed because I liked using the cart and ult to do rescues where needed, like if Mo and Krill decide to ult someone. But now I can't really do any reliable negation and my ult being single target when it can be way more easily countered means it's far less useful in team fights. I'm pissed because it feels like they genuinely have no idea what they want him to do so they keep nerfing him until they get the vibe from the loudest people that he's "balanced" now. He had a genuinely interesting kit which allowed you to be a slippery bastard who could trick enemies who get too greedy but with every nerf it feels like they didn't expect people to think with portals and just use them like Janus from Smite or some shit

It would make him way less overpowered in competitive play and in turn make it so they can actually let other parts of his kit play out. Honestly though, the character is still perfectly good. Bells deal good damage, door is the single best ability in the entire game, cart is still great displacement and crowd control, ult is still one of the best ganking and isolation tools in the game. The only thing i'd complain about is that he needs way too many levels to go completely online compared to any other spirit hero, but again its required because door in its current state is broken
