If a game, let a lone a visual novel, needs an off-site mod made by the community to be played "correctly" and to avoid being "punished" by the Developer, those are the biggest Kusoge signs you could see from miles away, and it's neither Excusable or Forgivable. I think a game should be read in the way the author presents it, without any community intervention. That's why I installed base-LiL only rather than getting the mod beforehand. So at the point in which the reset happened and I lost all my progress, I felt so disrespected as a reader that I didn't even bother trying again with the mod installed. Selebus should be grateful that his community created a mod that fixes the biggest and by far most critical problem with his game, because that helps mask his true nature as an incompetent game designer who made his game able to lock the player out of dozens of hours of content for picking an incorrect dialogue choice or because the player didn't check on a character in an specific location at a certain moment of Day X, and on top of that he implemented many hidden mechanics and grindy repeatable events that only serve the purpose of artificially extending the length of his game, and don't let me get started with the horrible concept and execution of the puzzles. >inb4 But changing the values with URM and the Auto-mod solve the affection/lust grind issue!!!!Again, third party programs/mods only work as a band-aid fix to an issue that should be addressed by Selebus himself rather than by his community.
