It really didn't help that it was made very clear that Gehenna students didn't take Makoto seriously at all, making it seem like she was the only person who had any issues with Hina. I hope Makoto gets written to be a character that can stand on her own and not as a prop for Hina.

Why doesn't the newer stories hit has hard as the previous ones?After finishing all the volumes (as of August 8, 2026) and every event, I've realized something: newer Blue Archive stories just don't hit as hard emotionally as the older ones did. I remember getting genuinely emotionally invested in Volume F, V3, V4, and even V5 Ch.1 (though to a lesser extent there). Ex Deca came close — I felt real sadness by the end — but it still didn't match Vol F. That's not a knock on Ex Deca though; Vol F is just an absolute masterpiece. Like for an example, with moments like: Phrenapantes', especially the sad music while he says his last words "I will give you infinite chances!" Yukari gaining back hope as Sensei finishes his speech Sensei still opting to join the struggling RABBIT squad when a storm wrecked their camp The newer volumes just dont got momments like this that made me feel emotionally attached to the characters. I read V1 Ch3, V5 Ch2, and even vol Arius without feeling a thing (personally I don't even remember much of these stories aside from the climaxes. I do not mean that the writing of these volumes was bad; it's just that it's missing the FEEL the previous volumes had.Personally, I have a theory: 1. Sensei's lack of relevance and just kinda being there (Especially in the events). I mean, we mostly use Sensei to insert ourselves in the story and feel like we are there with the characters, right? Like, for an example, the summer trinity event, I genuinely don't know what Sensei was doing there and why; remove him, and I'm 98% sure NOTHING changes. And the writing too, I don't know how bad it got, but a lot of people seem to agree that after Vol 1 ch 3, things started going a little downhill. I don't even see many people discussing Vol 5 ch2 nor Vol Arius. Again, I'm talking about the EMOTION of the stories, not the writing, and hey, maybe it's just me because I was unhealthily obsessed with Blue Archive back in the day. Does anyone feel this way too?
