I'm not surprised xenos won. One of the interesting things about 40k is that they have a lot of wacky aliens. From a mainstream person's perspective, yeah I want to see all the wacky aliens.But the other two can provide just as interesting stories and any are fine for a videogame. Deamons causing trouble in the name of chaos is Malleus, humans causing trouble in the name of chaos or just apostasy in general is hereticus, and xenos causing trouble in any form is xenos. Sometimes they get to overlap and work together, such is the case with chaos worshiping xenos, or a deamon is the source of a large scale corruption cult and an ordo hereticus and an ordo malleus inquisitor cross paths.The holy ordos genuinely are one of the coolest parts of 40k and I'm glad they're the focus of the next game. Dark Heresy was always my favorite ttrpg, and there are several to choose from so that's not nothing.Hopefully owlcat doesn't do their usual masturbatory power fantasy they've done in all their other games and they actually convey the intended tone of dark heresy which is that you are a bottom rung acolyte who is entirely expendable and you're just trying to get the job done and survive. The alpha/beta has made me pretty optimistic in this regard, lots of people laughed in your face when you flashed the rosette and people tried to kill you some of the time for doing it as well. The game is very, very good so far based on what we've seen. I am pretty happy with the way owlcat has been handling the franchise.
